After School Family Art Therapy Studio

Our After School Family Art Therapy Studio is a free, drop-in program for parents and their children ages 5-10 years old.
Art therapy provides a supportive environment for families to explore the benefits of art making. The creative process promotes self-confidence, self-expression, and connection. Both parents and children are encouraged to make art. An optional art invitation will be provided each week with a focus on connection and play. No art experience is necessary!
The studio takes place weekly on Wednesdays from 3:00pm – 5:00 pm. It runs from January 14th, 2026, to April 8th, 2026, with no class March 18th. Art materials are provided. Space is limited to 16 participants. You are welcome to drop-in the day of, however RSVPing for this event reserves your spot.
Parents can expect to sign a drop-in attendance sheet consent form upon arrival, then are free to explore the art materials! Art making sometimes gets messy, please dress accordingly.
This group is facilitated by student intern, Alessandra Botten-Mizzaro. She is a first-year student attending the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute’s, accredited, graduate-level diploma program in art therapy.
