Somatic Art Therapy Circle

The Somatic Art Therapy Circle is an invitation to explore and strengthen your mind-body connection through the creative process. With a focus on sensation, mindfulness, and experimentation, this Somatic Art Therapy Circle is a creative way to engage in self-expression, self-regulation, and self-awareness. No art experience is required— just gentle curiosity and the willingness to explore!
In these 1.5-hour sessions, you can expect an opening check-in, an art therapy invitation and a period of art making, followed by a brief, closing check-out, with the option to share your art.
Art materials are provided and have the potential to get on clothing, please dress accordingly.
This circle will run on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:00pm in 4 week cycles three times between January and April.
Circle 1: January 13th-February 3rd
Circle 2: February 17th-March 10th
Circle 3: March 24th-April 7th
For adults only (18+), registration is limited to 8 participants. Pre-registration is required. You may register for one class or all 4.
This group is facilitated by student intern, Alessandra Botten-Mizzaro. She is a first-year student attending the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute’s accredited, graduate-level diploma program in art therapy.
