Terms and conditions

My Inner Harbour offers a drop-in self-care space and occasional programs and services to encourage personal wellness. Through the participation in these opportunities, members are to be aware of the following expectations and administrative guidelines.

General requirements 

  1. Members acknowledge that part of the risk associated with being a member and participating in any programs/activities offered is relative to one’s own state of mental and emotional health including the awareness, care, and skill with which they conduct themselves when using the space or undertaking activities in a program. 
  2. My Inner Harbour reserves the right to cancel or alter any program information without notice due to (but not limited to) registration numbers, change of policy, or availability of instructors/facilities.
  3. Members are required to comply with all applicable provincial orders and directives, and guidelines of public health authorities for the Province of British Columbia and the City of Nanaimo.
  4. Members are asked to be considerate of others when it comes to illness and stay home until symptoms are no longer contagious. 
  5. To ensure the privacy of others, filming or photography is not permitted during without the consent of the subjects.
  6. All members are required to ensure personal details associated with an account, including a group account, are accurate and can be validated where proof is requested.

Release and indemnification

In consideration of being permitted to use the drop-in space provided by My Inner Harbour and any programs/activities which may be offered, I, for myself and/or my child(ren), if applicable, hereby agree:

  • That I have read and understood these Terms and Conditions as well as the Release and Indemnification provisions contained herein.
  • To certify, represent, and assume full responsibility for any and all actions of all clients associated with my account, including a group account;
  • To assume full responsibility for any risks, damages or injuries, including death, known or unknown, which I and/or my child(ren), if applicable, might incur as a result of participation;
  • To certify and represent that I have legal authority to authorize medical care and consent for myself and/or my child(ren), if applicable;
  • To authorize the My Inner Harbour to provide such medical care to me and/or my child(ren), if applicable, as the My Inner Harbour may deem necessary in the event of injury or otherwise, and I agree to pay for all expenses incurred by the My Inner Harbour in the provision of such medical care;
  • To hereby waive, release and discharge My Inner Harbour as well as anyone employed or volunteering with that entity, individually or otherwise, from any and all claims of liability for personal/bodily injury, illness, loss of life or property damage of any kind or nature, arising out of or sustained in the course of my membership; and in the course of the membership or participation in programs/activities or use of facilities by any person(s) associated with my account, including a group account;
  • To indemnify, defend and hold harmless My Inner Harbour from any and all liability, loss, claims, demands, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, due to any personal injury or property damage to any third party arising from my membership and arising from the membership or participation in programs/activities or use of facilities by any person(s) associated with my account, including a group account.

Refund Policy

My Inner Harbour does not provide refunds on the monthly membership fee. Members are free to cancel their membership at any time, with no penalty. Members are able to cancel through their account settings at myinnerharbour.ca. 

For non-members attending events at My Inner Harbour and paying a per service fee, refunds will be given if registration is cancelled 48hours ahead of time.
