Shake off the day with laughter yoga and community connection. We’ll start our activity at 6:30 PM. Feel free to come earlier to mingle and munch on dinner!

You’ve probably heard of the phrase, “Laughter is the best medicine.” But did you know there’s research to back it up?

There’s evidence that laughter helps to:

    • Relieve stress
    • Oxygenate your body
    • Build heart health
    • Boost your immunity
    • Promote emotional balance
    • Relieve pain naturally
    • Help you look and feel younger
    • Promote connection and creativity

Come give laughter yoga a try! We’ll end with a community conversation circle.

    What is laughter yoga?

Laughter yoga is a series of movement and breathing exercises designed to stimulate laughter and cultivate an inner spirit of joy. It is a technique that invites laughter without using jokes or humour. Laughter yoga is a blend of yoga-based deep breathing, gentle stretching, simulated laughter exercises, and playful games and activities.

What to bring: Please dress comfortably and bring water. We will not do typical yoga poses but you may bring a yoga mat and/or blanket for the cool-down activity.

This session will be facilitated by Crystal Lee, a certified laughter yoga lead who has been promoting laughter in the community for 10 years. Crystal is also a holistic career coach, writer, and workshop leader.

Please register on eventbrite! Free for members of My Inner Harbour, $10 for non-members. There is also an option to pay what you can at the door.
